Twenty-eight years have passed since Armenia shot down an Azerbaijani MI-8 military helicopter near the Garakend village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district on November 20, 1991, ONA reports.

A total of 22 people - State Secretary Tofig Ismayilov, Deputy Prime Minister Zulfu Hajiyev, State Advisor, former Interior Minister Mahammad Asadov, Prosecutor General Ismat Gayibov, parliamentarians Vagif Jafarov and Vali Mammadov, Department Chief of the President’s Office Osman Mirzayev, First Deputy Minister of International Affairs of Kazakhstan S. Serikov, employee of Azerbaijan State TV and Radio Ali Mustafayev and others were killed as a result of the tragedy.

The complete list of the persons killed in the MI-8 military helicopter as a result of the terrorist act committed by Armenian military units on November 20, 1991:
