Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can be resolved only through negotiations, said Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter, who met on Saturday in Bern with the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, TASS reported.

He also urged the sides to strengthen dialogue and refuse any acts of violence or provocation. "Switzerland is ready to support efforts to promote dialogue, hosting the meetings and providing experts", he added.

"South Caucasus is one of the priorities for Switzerland concerning the policy of peace", Foreign Minister mentioned. He also said that during its chairmanship of the OSCE in 2014, Switzerland expressed the support for the preservation of the existing format of mediation within the organization.
