Azerbaijani Defence Ministry: Armenia meets peace initiatives of mediators by counter-reaction as always

19.03.2016

APA. “Though the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry welcomed proposal of the Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, Personal Representative to the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, on strictly adhering to the ceasefire on the upcoming Nowruz Bayram and Easter holidays, Armenian side has met the peace initiatives of the mediators by counter-reaction as always”, Defence Ministry said in its statement.

The statement says: “Armenian Defence Ministry’s opinion “to seriously honour the ceasefire within the Armenian borders” is nothing except presenting as an annexation of lands which are currently under occupation. Taking this into account, the Defence Ministry calls on international organizations to assess such act of Armenian side and notes that our Armed Forces will take measures to prevent terrorist acts of Armenia alongside the frontline”.
