Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev greeted Russia's Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived in Baku on Apr. 8, and said there is an extensive agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia.

"The relations are developing dynamically, at the strategic partnership level," said President Aliyev during the welcoming ceremony for Russia's prime minister.

The president noted that Medvedev has paid the visit to Azerbaijan during the period of escalation of the situation on the line of contact between Azerbaijani and Armenian armies.

Ilham Aliyev said that Armenians staged another provocation in early April, as a result of which around 400 houses were destroyed and civilians were killed.

Azerbaijan's president expressed gratitude to Russia for its timely efforts in de-escalation of the situation.
