Russian FM pays an official visit to Armenia to discus settlement of Nagorno Karabak conflict

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has paid an official visit to Armenia where he is going to discuss with the country's leaders the situation in the much-troubled exclave region of Nagorno-Karabakh, as tensions between the conflicting sides flared up last month, APA reports quoting TASS.

On April 22, Lavrov will have talks with Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan and Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Special attention during the visit will be given to peace settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

During his visit to Yerevan on Thursday and Friday, Russian Foreign MinisterSergei Lavrov will offer certain designs toward the settlement Karabakh conflict, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) official representative Maria Zakharova said.

M. Zakharova called on Moscow and Yerevan to exercise restraint and to resume bilateral negotiations.
