At a joint press conference with President of the European Council Donald Tusk in Brussels Feb. 6, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevexpressed gratitude to theEuropean Union for supporting the country's territorial integrity.

The head of state mentioned Armenia’s occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories, APA reported.

President Aliyev stressed that Armenia has violated international law in a blatant manner and refuses to fulfill the UN Security Council’s resolutions that call for the immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijani territories.

“Unfortunately, the occupation has been continuing for 25 years. I thank the European Union for supporting Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity,” he added.
