Another Armenian provocation leaves two dead, Azerbaijan says



The Armenian Armed Forces carried out another large-scale provocation along the contact line between Azerbaijani and Armenian troops, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a message July 4.

The Armenian Armed Forces fired at the Alkhanli village of Fizuli district using grenade launchers and 82 and 120 millimeter mortars.

As a result of the provocation, the residents of the village of Guliyeva Sahiba and Guliyeva Zahra have been killed, wounded Guliyeva Sarvinaz was taken to the hospital.

In connection with the incident, international structures were informed.

As a result of adequate response measures, Azerbaijani armed forces suppressed the enemy shelling, the ministry noted.

Responsibility for the provocation falls on the military-political leadership of Armenia, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry said.
