Ilham Aliyev: World community recognizes Nagorno-Karabakh as integral part of Azerbaijan

11.01.2018

The world community recognizesNagorno-Karabakh as an integral part of Azerbaijan, said President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The president made the remarks on Wednesday at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the results of socioeconomic development of 2017 and objectives for the future, APA reported.

The head of state said this was also affirmed in the joint declaration of the EU Eastern Partnership summit.

He stressed that the non-recognition by the international community and organizations of an illegal referendum held in Nagorno-Karabakh also confirms this.

Underscoring the need to resolve the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict only within Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, President Aliyev said that Azerbaijan’s fair position on this matter is based on international law.
