Al Jazeera TV channel has broadcast a reportage on Armenian armed forces' shelling of civilian facilities in Tartar district of Azerbaijan.

AZERTAC reports that Al Jazaeera's reporter, dispatched to the frontline, highlighted one of the residents’ backyard, whose house was destroyed as a result of heavy artillery attack by Armenian armed forces. The reporter said that residents of the house were temporarily housed in a nearby school building.

The reportage also featured interviews with IDPs living in Tartar district, who said their native lands had been under Armenian occupation for almost 30 years.

“Heavy artillery attacks by the Armenian armed forces inflicted damage to houses of many families in Tartar,” the reporter said, adding that the residents are not going to leave their homes.

"The civilian population and civilian facilities of Azerbaijan were targeted, schools, houses even hospitals were damaged, and dozens of people were killed and injured. Residents say they are not frightened by Armenian attacks.”
